The Minnesota Association of Area Agencies on Aging projects that 451,000 fewer meals will be available to older adults in 2026 than in 2025, a loss of service for 6,000 seniors. Additionally, changes to the Senior Nutrition Program statute will improve efficiency in service delivery and provide flexibility for innovation.

I implore you to include a minimum of $4.7 million to meet the urgent nutritional needs of vulnerable older adults. Improving the health and wellness of older adults benefits Minnesotans of all ages.
