Senior meals
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [LOCATION].
I’m emailing to urge [REP or SENATOR NAME] to support funding for Meals for Seniors. The health of older Minnesotans depends upon this critical funding for food for our most vulnerable community members. Please support an increase of $11 million in funding per biennium for meals for seniors.

Additional funds are urgently needed. Providers are already cutting home-delivered meals and closing nutrition sites. The Minnesota Association of Area Agencies on Aging projects that 451,000 fewer meals will be available to older adults in 2026 than in 2025, a loss of service for 6,100 seniors.
I implore you to include $11 million in funding in the biennial appropriation to meet the urgent nutritional needs of older adults.
